Import contacts & leads
How to prepare a CSV for Vendra One, which columns matter, how duplicates are handled, and what to check after the first import.
Vendra imports CSV. The import screen maps your column names to its fields, so you do not have to rename anything in advance — but a little preparation avoids a messy result.
Prepare the file
- Save as CSV with UTF-8 encoding, or Danish characters arrive mangled.
- One row per person. If a company has three contacts, that is three rows.
- Put the company name in its own column — Vendra creates the company record from it and links the people to it.
- Phone numbers in international format (+45…) so the dialer can call them without cleanup.
Which columns matter
Only two are required: a name, and at least one of email or phone. Everything else is optional, but owner and source are worth including — owner decides who sees the record in "my records", and source is what later tells you which channel actually produced revenue.
Duplicates
Matching is on email first, then phone. An incoming row that matches an existing record updates it rather than creating a second one; blank fields in the file never overwrite data already there. Rows that match nothing are created new.
After the import
- Check a handful of records opened at random, not just the first one.
- Look at the company list: if you see near-duplicates like "Acme" and "Acme ApS", fix the source file and re-import rather than merging by hand.
- Confirm owners are distributed as you expected.
